How serving works
- It's a weighted lottery, not a flat rotation: among the top bidders targeting a developer's active language, each ad's odds are proportional to its bid — a higher bid buys a bigger share of impressions, not exclusivity.
- Narrower language targeting costs the same $5 CPM but enters fewer lotteries, so a fixed budget lasts longer. Targeting “all languages” reaches more developers but spends faster.
- Curated listings only enter the pool while real advertiser demand is thin — they don't cost you anything as an advertiser, and the pool drops them automatically once enough real ads are active.
